ATTENDANCE

TOO MANY STUDENTS have been arriving late to school. All students must arrive to campus early enough to be in homeroom at 8:30 a.m. A student receives a tardy demerit for every day that they arrive at 8:30 or later, and those tardies are permanent on a student’s record. If a student has too many absences, they can risk their promotion to the next grade level. If there is a particular reason your student is arriving late, you MUST communicate with the school.

 

STUDENTS FEELING SICK

Students SHOULD NOT be calling or texting parents during class to have them pick them up if they’re not feeling well. The student must ask to go to the nurse’s office to be checked and the nurse will reach out to parents if necessary. If a student calls/texts a parent to be picked up, their absence will not be excused and that unexcused absence will stay on their record.

 

IMPORTANT - EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION

If an individual is not listed under your student’s emergency contacts in Skyward, they will NOT be allowed to pick up the student early. Please take the time to log into Skyward to update your emergency contacts. If you need assistance logging into your account, please give us a call at 713-842-5400 or email us at NLOps@yesprep.org.
 

 

22-23 OPEN ENROLLMENT WINDOW

We are now accepting applications for grades 6 -11^th for the 2022-2023 school year! If you have more children eligible for those grade levels or you know of a friend who would like to apply, please encourage them to visit www.yesprep.org to submit an application!
 
NOTE: You have a higher chance of getting a seat if you apply between Oct. 29 – Feb. 12. If you need help submitting an application, please reach out to Angelica Sanchez, our Lottery Coordinator, at angelica.sanchez@yesprep.org or 713-967-8786.
